It was maddening: South Korea showed great morale for long phases of the game in the 3-2 defeat against Ghana, but conceded the goals at the worst possible times. Portugal World Cup 2022 Preview

With a largely commanding performance against Uruguay and a deserved 2-0 victory, Portugal already secured their promotion to the round of the last 16 on the second matchday. However, the first place is not yet guaranteed and Portugal could theoretically still be overtaken by Ghana. This is relatively unlikely, but must be taken into account.
